| The 2008 UEFA European Football Championships, also referred to as Euro 2008, will take place in Austria and Switzerland from the 7th of June until the 29th of June 2008. It's only the second time a joint bid has won in the competition's history, with the other winners being the hosts of the 2000 European Football Championship which were hosted by Belgium and Holland. Austria and Switzerland will automatically qualify as hosts with the remaining teams having to get through the qualifying tournament that started in August 2006. |
